I purchased one of these to refurbish a large rusty mower deck. It worked great for removing the flaked paint and rust on the upper surface as well as for removing the hardened grass and rust on the lower. I spent about three hours grinding various parts and probably used about half the life of the bristles. I'll be getting a few replacements to keep around the shop for future use.

I use these cup brushes often. They are by far the best tool for cleaning up old metal objects with flaking paint or removing surface rust. You do need to take care with them as they can grab in corners or when working around metal balustrades and rails etc but they will quickly and readily remove old paint ready for new coats. Many other uses as well around the home.

I was very disappointed in this case. The 12 amp 4-1/2" grinder won't even fit with the cord attached. Nothing to keep the tool from flopping around inside. I saw the case that was included with the 4-1/2" 8 amp grinder, and it showed a bracket for the tool and a quick reference guide for disc selection.

Come-on Milwaukee; you built the tool well, surely you can put together a case that's matched to the tool. Especially for $34.50.

I purchased a steel carrying case for my Milwaukee drill a year ago and was quite pleased with it. It had a foam-cushioned bracket inside that cradled the drill, and also included a tray that was able to hold bits and accessories. I decided to purchase a case for my Milwaukee grinder as well, so I purchased this item. Unfortunately, the features of Milwaukee's drill case were not carried over into this one. This case is empty... no bracket to keep the grinder from sliding around inside and no accessory tray. For half the price, I could've bought a small Craftsman tool box that's twice the size AND includes the tray. This is much too expensive to simply be an 'empty box'.
